just curious but when did he attend the Sorbonne in Paris?

In 1950, Romare Bearden took a leave of absence from his position at the Department of Social Services to travel to Paris under the GI Bill of Rights. While there he studied philosophy with Gaston Bachelard at the Sorbonne.
