Black History Month

(Depending on where you live) in February is brutal. What to do? Stay in for a change and watch movies! Or … boot up your computer or grab your iPhone and start watching The Documentary Channel online when it celebrates Black History Month every Wednesday in February by telecasting rarely seen documentaries related to African American history.  In addition to its regular network telecasts during Black History Month, DOC will make the films available in their entirety through live streaming on the network’s YouTube Channel, providing unprecedented access to network programming through multiple platforms for the first time in DOC’s three-year history.

  1. Elizabeth Key Grinstead is the first African-American woman to fight against slavery and won and she married to William Grinstead. Don’t forget her, ever!
    Her ancestors are Johnny Depp and Krista Allen are both actors, missing person Tara Grinstead and the crime victim of the McDonald’s incident, Laurence Herman “Gus” Versluis (he went Home to be with the Lord two days before his retirement.)
