Harlem Textile Works Summer Fashion Day Camp

During this interactive summer youth fashion day camp, on site at Harlem Textile Works, young fashion designers-to-be, ages 14 to 20, will learn from professional textile artists, silkscreen printers, fashion designers, stylists, and technical illustrators.

In this introduction to fashion design, campers will take field trips to retail stores, fashion boutiques, museums and other cultural sites around New York City, design, create, print and make their own unique brand of clothing while learning textile design, construction, and sewing. Taught by Christine Fleischer, professional technical fashion illustrator and designer, and Leslie Wasserberger, accomplished textile designer and visual artist, with special guest lecturers, including Randal Jacobs, freelance fashion
stylist with Ralph Lauren.
