sharpton1The Rev. Al Sharpton remembered Michael Jackson at an impromptu press conference outside the Apollo Theater in Harlem Friday evening.

Sharpton said Michael Jackson was a “trailblazer” and a “historic figure” who loved the Apollo Theater. He also noted that it was ironic to find critics who disliked Jackson in life but are now praising him in death.

“No controversy will erase the historic impact,” Sharpton said. “He learned how to create even beyond his own shortcomings.”

“Michael Jackson made culture accept a person of color way before Tiger Woods, way before Oprah Winfrey, way before Barack Obama,” Sharpton said.

Sharpton also credited Sharpton as a leading force behind the song “We Are The World.”

Did the reverend Sharpton encourage people to pray for Michael Jackson ‘en morte’? If so the reverend should know that you cannot pray for dead people [because it makes no difference whatever] but do pray for the living that are left that God will make His peace known to them and make His message of salvation quite clear to all.

  • Yes, It Is Sad That A ‘Reverend’ Who Should Be Entrusted In Getting The Good News (Gospel) Out That Christ Died For Our Sins, Was Buried And Rose Again. (1 Cor. 15), Would Exalt The Fact That Michael Jackson Was Some Kind Of Role Model For Blacks.
God Help Us If He Is.
Come To Think Of It I’ve Never Heard Sharpton Teach The Truth.
