His undeniably unique approach to music left lasting impressions on many. Although he has departed, his contributions to the fashion world are consequential. Let’s face it Harlem, no other musician has ever made black on black high-water pants, and a crisp white T-shirt look so smooth while belting out tunes like Michael Jackson, the “King of Style”.
Over the years the entire nation looked on as Jackson’s personal style emerged as well as his personal sound.
We’ve watched the impressionable young boy with a highly extended afro, color coded bell-bottoms and voice to match, serenade audiences with classics like “I’ll Take You Back”, and “ABC”, transform into an international heart-throb, sporting the standard curls above his forehead.

Jackson came onto the scene with his overnight 1983 pop sensation, “Thriller”, sporting bright-red ankle pants and loose curls. It comes to no surprise that this image constantly pops up everywhere in anything related to Michael Jackson.
At his prime, one staple item of Jackson’s was the English military inspired blazer with the unforgettable silver glove.

After a long hiatus from the music scene, Jackson came back to rock the world of many faithful fans in 2001 with his debut single, “You Rock My World”. Confidently wearing his ankle pants, classic silver socks and loafers, no one could deny that this man had swag’; only royalty could pull off such a look so effortlessly.
