Business
Target Corp. is at it again in New York City. The retailer, which has opened up pop-up stores for weekends in the Big Apple, just turned its already fervent courtship of the city up a notch. Target spent $250,000 to wrap an entire full-length Manhattan subway train.
Each of the train’s 10 cars is tricked out in a different motif — heavy on red, white and bull’s-eyes, of course.
The promotion is for the chain’s new store in Harlem, opening July 25.
The bedecked train is on the 6 line, which runs from the Bronx in the north through Harlem, Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and down to the East Village and the Brooklyn Bridge. The ad will run for six weeks. The East Harlem Target store is at 116th St. and FDR Drive.
