Renovation Of The 123rd Street Playground In Harlem

The Friends of Morningside Park and Manhattan Community Board 9 are jointly sponsoring a community meeting on Wednesday evening. The Parks Department will be presenting their plans for the renovation of Playground 123 at the north end of the park.

This project has been a priority for the Friends for more than 10 years and has received allocations of public funds by Council Member Inez Dickens and Borough President Scott Stringer. Continue reading

86-Year-Old Harlem Woman Missing

DNAInfo posted information regarding an 86-year-old woman went missing from her home in East Harlem on Thursday, the NYPD said.

Dorothy Smith was last seen leaving her apartment at 334 East 108th Street around 12:30 p.m., according to the department.

She is described as being 5-foot-3-inches, 135 lbs, with white hair. She was last seen wearing a tan coat, blue pants and black boots. Continue reading
