Alicia Keys further embraces her empire state of mind by making her Broadway-producing debut with Lydia Diamond’s new play about an affluent African-American family that spends the weekend in Martha’s Vineyard. When the son brings his fiancée home for the first time, tensions about race, class and family rivalries arise. This modern-day comedy of manners is directed by Kenny Leon, who last helmed 2010′s award-winning revival of Fences.
