Arshad I. Ali, PhD is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Teachers College, Columbia University.  His research explores how youth identities are mediates by macro economic, political and social realities.  His current work examines the intersections of race and religion in the lives of US Muslim youth, specifically exploring issues of democracy, secularity and political engagement.
