On Monday, November 21, 2011 representatives from Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, including Mr. Masa Tanaka, Chief Executive Officer of Americas, visited Metropolitan Hospital Center in East Harlem ……to distribute Thanksgiving turkeys with all of the trimmings. Over 80 turkeys were distributed to patients and their families.
“We are very aware of the enormous financial challenges that many of our patients and their families face during these difficult financial times,” said Meryl Weinberg, Executive Director at Metropolitan Hospital Center. “While we focus on their medical needs, we wish we could do much more for our patients. We are very grateful to our partners from Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ for their longstanding commitment to the Metropolitan Hospital community.”
The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ has distributed turkeys at Thanksgiving since the early 1990s.
“We want to help those in need, especially during the holidays,” said Beth Gilroy, Vice President at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. “Metropolitan Hospital has been one of our many partners in our effort to serve the community…”
